DMV Hearings are nothing to take lightly. Based upon certain circumstances, you do not need to lose your driving privileges. The key is to have an attorney who is experienced in this area to represent you and to provide the proper documents at the hearing. I highly recommend Mindy McQueen. Her website sums it up in a nutshell, “… fights for your right to drive.” In order for you to appreciate Ms. McQueen’s legal expertise, I must tell you my DMV hearing nightmare.
This hearing took place because I was involved in a car accident. I worked 15 hour days to set up displays for company officials. At that time I was under doctor’s care for a lower back injury. I finished work at approximately 8:00 p.m. My lower back was hurting and I took prescribed medication. Due to exhaustion and fatigue I fell asleep at the wheel and collided with another vehicle.
DMV wanted to suspend my license for this incident. I requested for a DMV Hearing by telephone. I answered all the questions and provided the documentation that DMV requested. Two days later I received a notice after the hearing that DMV determined that my license be suspended. I was surprised at the outcome because I followed through with all the requests of the hearing officer.
I requested for another hearing, but this time in person. I decided that it would be to my best interest if I had an attorney represent me at the hearing. I looked through the yellow pages and found this experienced attorney. I had a consultation with him. I stated to him that I felt that it would be better if I had an attorney attend on my behalf. His comment to me was that he had another trial that day and wouldn’t be able to attend. I literally felt that I was abandoned to fend for myself. I attended the next DMV Hearing with no legal representation and lost again. My license was suspended and I had to take a 30 day leave without pay from work until I could try with some small miracle to get my license back.
If I followed DMV protocol, my next step would be to request for a department review or appeal to superior court. This time I knew that I desperately needed an attorney. I searched through the Internet and found Mindy McQueen. That was a positive turning point in my downhill spiral.
First of all, Ms. McQueen was able to get a rehearing for me. For the first time, I actually felt that I had assurance that someone was looking out for my best interest. Needless-to-say, my third hearing with DMV was successful with Ms. McQueen representing me. Therefore, my license has been reinstated.

When I paid you to represent me at the time, I thought it was a lot of money. Now it seems like not enough, so I wanted to write you and thank you. When I divide the amount I paid by the number of days my license would have been suspended, it's a lot cheaper than bus or taxi. I recently received a D.U.I. Unfortunately, this was not my first offense and I was driving on a revoked license all of which carry a very heavy fine and jail sentence. I hired Mindy H.
